A) Setting Up Appropriate Equipment

When we were filming, we wanted our camera to be steady so the shot didn't constantly move around or go out of focus, so we used a tripod to keep the camera in place rather than holding it by hand.

To record the audio, we used a boom microphone to ensure we got the best quality. We also used this to record the narration dialogue.

On Set Photography

These are some shots we did of our first location before our second location was finalised. You can tell that the weather conditions in these photos are different to the final shoot as there was a fair amount of time between the two outings.

These three photos were taken on our first day of filming. We took photos of the producer and one of our actors to test the camera and make sure we had the right settings for the actual shoot.

B) Following The Script/Storyboard

Whilst we were filming, we made sure to follow the storyboard exactly so we didn't lose place of where our visual effects would go. With the script however, a couple of dialogue lines were changed from the original so they would sound more natural or fitting to the character(s).

C) Following Safe Work Practises

When we were filming or recording our narration lines, we made sure that all of the equipment was fully functional and on the right settings before we started. We also made sure to check for any loose components, cables, anything getting in the way of the shot, etc. that needed to be moved aside so as to not trip over or cause any injury.

D) Following Production Processes

During the production process, we made sure to check every take/shot we had before moving on to the next, to make sure that we didn't need to adjust the equipment settings or that the shot was perfect and fitted to the plot. After we had collected all of our needed footage, we checked everything over again before taking anymore retakes and sharing the footage amongst us for editing.
